New realease: SERVOTUBE M3

Machine mod. SERVOTUBE 137/MINI 3 UV ( 3 COLOURS or 2 COLOURS + 1 LACQUERING STATION )

 

This is an automatic machine for silk screen printing in up to 3 colors screen (or in alternative 2 colors + 1 lacquering on cylindrical plastic objects as tubes and caps). It can be used independent or in-line with other auxiliary equipment up-stream or downstream from the machine.

 

The central part of the machine consists of a 12 mandrel revolving table driven by an indexing unit in a counter clockwise rotation. The movement of the revolving table with a proprietary precision dwell phases allows for the different operations on the object such as deionizing, flame treatment, printing, lacquering and curing. Each mandrel has an independent precision servo driven motor.

 

Loading of the tubes: tubes are loaded on a vacuum star wheel and a pusher introduces the tubes onto the mandrels.

 

Deionizer: This cleaning process eliminates the static charges and foreign particulate on the parts, helping to ensure less contamination of the printed part.

 

Surface treatment: The flame treatment of the container, done in the station before printing, prepares the surface of the object to allow a durable ink adhesion. During the dwelling phase of the revolving table the object is rotated under the treatment head with precision rotation.

 

Printing: The machine is a silk screen printing machine. The minimum number of screen heads is 1 color with a maximum of 3 colors (or in alternative 2SS + lacquering by roller). Registration between colors is very accurate, because of registration systems driven by servo-motors mounted to each of 12 mandrels. Mandrels are directly driven by individual servo-motors to allow a very simple and quick change-over with no gears. The screen, previously centered “off-line” via pin registration with the film and screen, is installed on the machine in a precise position; you immediately obtain correct registration between colors without adjustment on press.

 

Curing: UV curing for both printing and lacquering is done on the mandrel (COM), this operation is done after each printing station and cures the ink and lacquer by means of a proprietary water cooled UV lamp. The mandrel is rotated under the UV lamp so that the complete surface of the tube is being exposed to the UV radiations evenly and precisely with little heat.

 

Unloading: the tubes are unloaded into a carton via discharge
